Subscriptions

Save up to 40% · Pause, skip or cancel anytime

How do TruWash subscriptions work?

You pick what you want, how often you want it, and we send it on repeat. Subscribers save up to 40% off the one-off price, and you can pause, skip or cancel anytime — no fuss, no phone calls.

Your first delivery comes straight away. After that, you'll get a heads-up email a few days before each refill so nothing surprises you.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Sign in to your customer portal, choose your subscription, and tap Cancel. It takes about 30 seconds.

If you're cancelling because something didn't work for you, please email emily@truwash.co.uk first — we'd genuinely rather fix the issue than lose you.

Can I pause or skip a delivery?

Yes, anytime. In your customer portal you can skip a single delivery, push the date back, or pause indefinitely. Going on holiday? Got a stockpile? Just hit pause until you need us again.

Can I change how often I get deliveries?

Absolutely. We offer 1-month, 2-month and 3-month delivery intervals. Most BioPure subscribers find 2 months works well for a family of four — but you can change frequency anytime in your portal.

Tip: if you're getting too much, stretch the interval before you cancel. We'd rather you stayed at a frequency that works.

Can I add or swap products on my subscription?

Yes — log into your portal and you can add new products, swap scents (e.g. Linen Blossom to Fragrance Free), or remove items. Changes apply from your next delivery onward.

How much do I save by subscribing?

Single products save 20%. Bundles save 10% on top of the bundle discount. Across a year of regular use, that adds up to roughly £40-£60 saved per family — and you never run out.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. There's no minimum, no contract, no early-cancellation fee. We earn the next order, every time.

When do I get charged?

Your first order is charged immediately. After that, you're charged on the day each subscription delivery is processed. We send a reminder email 3 days before so you can skip or change your order in time.

How do I update my payment card?

In your customer portal, head to Payment Methods and add or update your card. We never store full card numbers ourselves — payments are handled by Stripe.

Shipping & Delivery

UK & Ireland · Free over £30

How long does delivery take?

Most UK orders arrive within 2-4 business days via Royal Mail or Fastway. Ireland orders are similar. You'll get tracking the moment your parcel leaves us.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — free delivery on orders over £30 (UK) or €40 (Ireland).

Heads up: if you use a discount code that brings your final total below the threshold, postage will apply, even if your cart originally qualified.

Do you ship to Ireland?

We do — and a huge chunk of our customers are based in the Republic of Ireland (we're literally next door, in Northern Ireland). Free delivery over €40, prices in Euros, no customs hassles.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now we only ship within the UK and Ireland. We're a small family business focusing on what we do well close to home before we expand. If you're outside our shipping zone, drop us an email — we keep a list and let people know when we open up.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll get an email with tracking from Royal Mail or Fastway. Click the link to follow it from our door to yours.

Can't find the email? Check your spam folder, or email emily@truwash.co.uk with your order number.

My parcel is late or damaged. What do I do?

If your parcel is over a week late or arrives damaged, email emily@truwash.co.uk and Emily will respond within 48 hours to sort it.

For urgent issues, you can also contact Fastway (our courier) directly with your tracking number — they sometimes resolve things faster than we can.

Can I change my delivery address?

If your order hasn't shipped yet, email emily@truwash.co.uk ASAP with your order number and the new address. If it's already on its way, you'll need to contact the courier directly.

For subscriptions, you can update your default address anytime in your customer portal.

Returns & Refunds

Full refund within 30 days · No return needed

What's your refund policy?

If you're not completely happy with your order, email emily@truwash.co.uk within 30 days of receiving it and we'll arrange a refund.

For most products you don't even need to return them — keep them, give them to a neighbour, or use them on something else. We'd rather refund you and have you tell a friend than lose money in postage.

Do I have to return the product?

For most refund situations — no. Posting cleaning products back is wasteful and expensive, and it doesn't help anyone. Just let us know and we'll process the refund.

The exception: if a product arrives damaged or wrong, we may ask for a quick photo so we can chase it up with the courier or our packing team.

How long does a refund take?

We process refunds within 48 hours of agreeing one. The money usually appears back in your account 3-5 business days later, depending on your bank.

I got the wrong item or something's missing.

Genuinely sorry — Tim packs every order himself and slips happen occasionally. Email emily@truwash.co.uk with your order number and what's missing or wrong, and we'll get it fixed within 48 hours.

BioPure Laundry Sheets

30 sheets · Up to 60 washes · Plant-derived

How do I use BioPure?

Place the sheet directly in the drum with your laundry — not in the detergent drawer. The drawer doesn't get enough water for it to dissolve properly.

Dosing:

  • Half a sheet → small or delicate load
  • 1 sheet → regular load (6-8kg)
  • 2 sheets → heavily soiled, sportswear, bedding

Then wash as normal. Works in cold and hot water — 30°C is fine for most loads.

Do I still need fabric softener or stain remover?

No. BioPure is 3-in-1 — detergent, stain remover and fabric softener built into one sheet. Your clothes come out soft and fresh without anything extra.

Why doesn't it produce many suds?

By design. Traditional detergents add harsh foaming agents (SLS, SLES) because consumers expect bubbles — but bubbles don't actually clean. They're just a feature. We left them out, along with the dyes and synthetic perfumes that often go with them, because they cause skin irritation and don't add cleaning power.

Less foam, same clean.

Will it dissolve in cold water?

Yes — it's designed for all temperatures from 20°C to 90°C. The only quirk: very short cold cycles (under 30 minutes) sometimes don't give enough time for full dissolution. For those, drop the sheet in before you add the clothes.

Is BioPure safe for sensitive skin or babies?

Yes. BioPure is dermatologically tested, pH 6-7 (the same as healthy skin), and free from harsh chemicals, optical brighteners, and the irritants commonly found in conventional detergents.

If you've got eczema or very reactive skin, we'd recommend our Fragrance Free variant — same formula, no scent.

What scents are available?

Three options:

  • Linen Blossom — soft, fresh, our most popular
  • Summer Bloom — light floral (occasionally sells out)
  • Fragrance Free — no added scent, ideal for sensitive skin
What's in the fragrance? Are there phthalates?

Honest answer: BioPure scented sheets use synthetic fragrance, but it's been dermatologically tested and is free from phthalates, 1,4-Dioxane and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals. We chose this fragrance specifically because it's safer than the essential-oil-based alternatives that often cause allergic reactions in babies and pets.

Want zero fragrance? Go for the Fragrance Free variant.

Does it work in hard water?

Yes. One quirk worth knowing: in very hard water areas (most of southern England), you may occasionally see a fine residue on the drum door after a wash. A quick wipe with a damp cloth clears it, and it doesn't affect your clothes.

Will it work in my machine?

Yes — works in front-loaders, top-loaders, HE machines, and even hand-washing (just dissolve a sheet in warm water first).

Can I use it as a stain remover?

Yes — it's brilliant for this. Dissolve half a sheet in a spray bottle of water, spray directly onto the stain, leave for 30 minutes, then wash as normal.

How much is it per wash?

About 22p per wash on subscription — roughly the same as Ariel pods, considerably less than most premium detergents, and you're not paying to ship water across the country in plastic bottles.

Is it safe for septic tanks?

Yes — fully septic-safe and grey-water-recycling safe. The formula is OECD biodegradable and breaks down naturally without harming aquatic life.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes to both. Certified by The Vegan Society, never tested on animals.

FreshRinse Dishwasher Sheets

30 sheets · Up to 60 cycles

How do I use FreshRinse?

Half a sheet (one strip) per cycle, dropped into your dishwasher's tablet dispenser. That's it. One pack gives you 60 cycles — about 2-3 months for most families.

Do I still need rinse aid or dishwasher salt?

Rinse aid is built into the sheet — you don't need to add separate rinse aid. Salt is recommended in hard water areas to soften the water and protect your machine — that's separate from the detergent and we don't replace it.

Can I use it for hand-washing dishes?

Yes — that's one of our favourite hacks. Dissolve a whole sheet in a basin of warm water and use it like washing-up liquid. Cuts grease beautifully, no harsh chemicals.

Will it tackle baked-on grease?

For everyday baked-on, yes. For really stubborn pans, do what you'd do with any detergent — pre-soak in hot water with a bit of dissolved sheet for 20 minutes first, then run the cycle.

Will it leave streaks on glasses?

No — we get a lot of feedback specifically about how clean glasses come out. The built-in rinse aid does the work. If you do see any cloudiness, it's almost always a hard water issue (add salt) rather than the sheet itself.

QuickShine Glass Cleaner

100% chemical-free · Made by Tim in NI

What's actually in QuickShine?

Just water. We pass it through five separate, stringent filters that strip out every mineral. The result is what we lovingly call "Hungry Water" — water so empty of minerals that it acts like a magnet for dirt and dust, trying to replace what we removed.

That's it. No chemicals, no surfactants, no fragrance. Tim makes every batch in Northern Ireland.

What can I use QuickShine on?

Anything shiny: windows, mirrors, glass shower doors, granite worktops, composite worktops, eyeglasses, stainless steel, car windscreens, phone screens, even porcelain floors.

If it has a smooth, hard surface — QuickShine handles it.

How do I get a streak-free finish?

Two things matter: spray lightly (don't drown the surface), and use the right cloth. Our POLISH cloth is designed specifically for QuickShine and gives the best finish. Standard microfibres also work, but avoid anything that's been washed with fabric softener — softener leaves residues that streak.

How do refills work?

You buy the reusable spray bottle once, then top it up with refill cans (plastic-free) or our 5L bulk refill. Same QuickShine, far less waste.

Is it safe around pets and children?

Completely. It's literally just water — no fumes, no skin irritation, no toxic residue. Spray it where the kids and the dog will be without a second thought.

SafeGuard & PureStep

Multi-purpose & floor cleaning sheets

How do SafeGuard sheets work?

One sheet dissolves into a 500ml spray bottle of warm water, giving you a multi-surface spray that handles 20+ jobs — kitchen counters, bathroom tiles, mirrors, glass doors, tiles, the lot.

One pack of 6 sheets = 6 × 500ml bottles. Replaces a cupboard full of single-use plastic.

What surfaces is SafeGuard safe on?

Pretty much everything: kitchen worktops, hobs, bathroom tiles, taps, sinks, mirrors, glass, painted walls, plastic, sealed wood. Avoid using on unsealed natural stone (marble, untreated granite) — for those, dilute further or stick to QuickShine.

How do I use PureStep floor sheets?

Dissolve one strip in a bucket of warm water (or apply directly to a damp mop head). One pack of 15 sheets = 30 strips = 30 cleans. Suitable for all hard floors.

What floor types is PureStep safe on?

Sealed hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, stone, lino. PH-balanced and gentle enough not to strip floor finishes. Always wring your mop well — don't soak unsealed wood floors with any cleaner.

Mary's Meals & Our Promises

Where your money goes · Who we are

How does the Mary's Meals donation work?

Every TruWash order donates school meals to children in need through our partnership with Mary's Meals. Each pack of sheets donates 5 meals; bundles can donate 10+ meals per order. To date, our customers have funded hundreds of thousands of meals.

The meals are delivered through Mary's Meals' school feeding programmes in countries like Malawi, Liberia, Zambia and Madagascar, helping children who'd otherwise miss out on both food and education.

How many meals have been donated so far?

You can see the live count on our impact page. It updates in real time as orders come in.

Who actually runs TruWash?

A family of three. Tim (the dad) handles manufacturing, packaging and operations from Northern Ireland — he makes QuickShine himself in our facility in Cookstown. Joel (the son) runs marketing, growth and content. Sharon (mum) loves using the products and keeps us honest about which ones actually work.

We're not a faceless corporation. If you call us, you'll speak to one of us.

Are TruWash products free from "forever chemicals"?

Yes. Every product is free from PFAS ("forever chemicals") and Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). We've made this a non-negotiable for the entire range — it's the whole reason TruWash exists.

Is everything plastic-free?

Honest answer: our sheet packaging is 100% plastic-free. QuickShine is currently sold in a recyclable bottle with plastic-free refill options, and we're working toward fully plastic-free across the whole range. We'd rather tell you the truth than pretend we're 100% there yet.

Why don't you call BioPure "chemical-free"?

Because it wouldn't be true — and we don't do greenwashing. BioPure uses plant-derived surfactants and natural enzymes; that's still chemistry. What it doesn't contain is harsh chemicals, optical brighteners, EDCs, or anything that ends in -PFAS.

QuickShine is the one product in our range that's genuinely 100% chemical-free, because it's literally just water.

Where can I see the full ingredient list?

On every individual product page. We list everything publicly — nothing hidden behind "fragrance" catch-alls or trade secrets. If you want a deep-dive on any ingredient, email us and we'll explain why it's in there.

What certifications do you have?

BioPure formula and sheet material: OECD certified biodegradable. Vegan Society certified. FSC certified packaging (sustainably sourced). Dermatologically tested. Septic-safe.

We're working toward additional certifications as a small business. We'd rather invest in product quality than spend tens of thousands on B-Corp consultants right now.
